Educators Rising is a co-curricular Career Technical Student Organization. Our membership is open to middle school students and high school students who are currently enrolled in or have completed a course in the Careers in Education, Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher (ECCAT) or Grow Your Own Teacher Pathway.
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS AND DUES
For Teacher Leaders, membership in Educators Rising is free. For students, there is a $15 annual fee (currently, the WVDE is paying membership costs) for any student participating in an Educators Rising program or club – whether a student competes or not. While enrollment is ongoing throughout the year, all students must register with the national office no later than November 1 for student participating in the fall of 2023 and February 1 (and be paid for in full by February 15) for students who only participated in the spring of 2024 to participate in state and national-level competitions for the current school year.

To establish your chapter, you and your students simply need to join the network through the EdRising Membership Portal (members.pdkintl.org/membership-selection). Get started now with these easy steps
- Create your profile in the EdRising Membership Portal and join as a Teacher Leader through the Educators Rising Middle and High School option. On the Your Organization Information screen, select the name of your school from the list to affiliate your chapter as an official Educators Rising program. Once the Educators Rising national office approves you as a teacher leader, you can have your students and additional Teacher Leaders join.
- Get your students to sign up as well! Your students also register by creating an account in the EdRising Membership Portal and joining as an Educators Rising student member; they’ll need valid email addresses to do so. When they signup, they’ll be asked to select their organization (this will be the same school you selected when joining), which will connect them to your school’s chapter. If you have returning students, they simply need to update their existing profiles and click to renew their membership at the beginning of each school year to stay connected to your chapter.
- Sign up additional Teacher Leaders. You can add Teacher Leaders to your school by having them create a profile and join as a Teacher Leader as you did in the EdRising Membership Portal. Once the Educators Rising national office approves them, they will also have access to the Teacher Leader Resources section.
