Over 35 students from across West Virginia traveled and competed at the 2018 Educators Rising National Conference in Orlando, Florida between June 21st and June 24th. West Virginia had several students place in the national top ten in their respective categories:

Creative Lecture (Individual Event):

Impromptu Lesson (Individual Event):
Andrea Kirk – Ritchie County High School
Vanessa Morris – Ritchie County High School

Exploring Non-Core Subject Teaching Careers (Individual Event):
Allison McCourt – Webster County High School

Lesson Planning STEM (Individual Event):
Helena Martin – Fayette Institute of Technology

Impromptu Speaking (Individual Event):
Gena Kelley – Phillip Barbour High School

National Educators Rising recognize and award students who place in the top ten in their respective category.

The 2019 Educators Rising National Conference will take place June 22-25, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, TX.
